Michael TrainerFounder & C.E.O.Michael’s professional background spans decades in working alongside ophthalmologists as an optician, where attention to detail and consistency are everything — two traits that carried naturally into coffee roasting. What began as a friendly introduction to home roasting became a full-blown passion project. Fascinated by the science, sourcing, and artistry behind great coffee, Michael dove deep: researching roasting profiles, visiting with seasoned roasters, and connecting with a highly respected green-bean importer. That curiosity led to Mike & Andy’s Premium Coffee — a small-batch roastery dedicated to freshness, traceability, and flavor you can taste in every cup.

James Trainer-StaufferHead of Marketing & I.T.A graduate of the University of Tulsa with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, James combines analytical precision with a passion for craft coffee. When his grandfather, Michael, introduced him to coffee roasting, the spark was instant. He was drawn not only to the sensory side of coffee but also to the science — heat transfer, airflow, data logging, and control. Now pursuing his Professional Engineer (PE) license while working as a Station Engineer at AEP, James brings that same technical discipline to Mike & Andy’s Premium Coffee. Together, he and Michael blend tradition and technology to produce fresh, small-batch coffee that celebrates both art and engineering.
